History of World Plumbing Day

World Plumbing Council (WPC) founded the World Plumbing Day in March 2010. Initially, they work all over the year to promote the benefits of safe plumbing. But in 2010 they decided to embed a single day on the calendar which is entirely dedicated to plumbing on that day. The main aim behind that was, on every March 11 people all around the world will stop to reflect on the vital role of plumbing which plays an important role in preserving the health and the way of life. The WPC (World Plumbing Council) always aims at developing and the promoting the image and standards of the plumbing industry across the worldwide. The mission statement os WPC is “Unite the world plumbing industry to safeguard and to preserve the environment and the World’s health, for the benefit of all.” Hence World Plumbing Day is a day to celebrate or to recognize the importance of Plumbing.
